Welcome to the website of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish in Shotts. In the following pages we hope to present an insight into our parish and community.

In 2005 we celebrate the centenary of the opening of the present church building. However, our roots as a parish go back further to 1868 when a largely Catholic Irish immigrant population swelled the very small Catholic community in this area. With the recent addition of the community of St. Catherine's Harthill to swell yet again the size of our parish we hope you enjoy your visit to our site.

We hope that our parish motto "fortis in fide" - strong in faith - is reflected in these pages.
