The year 2005 is a significant mileston in the history of St Patrick's Parish. This year we celebrate the Centenary of the building of our Church in 1905.

To mark the Centenary a book has been published cataloguing the building and development of the Church building.

The Year of Celebration began with Bishop Devine celebrating Mass on Saint Patrick's Day - The Centenary of the Laying of the Foundation Stone while Archbishop Conti will be Principle Celebrant at a Mass on the 25th of November - The Centenary of the first Mass celebrated in the new Church.

This will be a busy period of activities within our Parish. Our research has uncovered a rich history in St Patrick's, Shotts. We have every reason to celebrate all that has been achieved in the past and hopefully wil lwe play our part in the handing on of the faith to the future.
